Nov. 19, Monday, 12:20-3:45 p.m. -- The health implications and history of beer, wine and other fermented beverages will be discussed by two distinguished scientists during the 2007 Fall Lectureship of the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science. The speakers will be Arthur Klatsky, a physician and senior consultant in cardiology as well as an adjunct investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program in Oakland, and Solomon Katz, a professor of anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania and editor-in-chief of the Encyclopedia of Food and Culture. These talks, which are free and open to the public, will be held in the Studio Theatre of UC Davis' Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, followed by a reception.
