Major requirements for the College of Letters and Science

Students who apply for transfer admission to selective majors are required to complete major preparation courses and meet additional course and GPA requirements.
Students need to take all courses for a letter grade with no grade less than C and complete all major preparatory course requirements by the end of spring term prior to their fall enrollment. The Department Agreements as published on ASSIST are also important documents. Reference them in conjunction with the major agreements as needed.
Selective major requirements
UC Davis requires a minimum 2.80 GPA for admission. Transfer Admission Guarantee, or TAG, for the College of Letters and Science requires at least a 3.20 GPA for all majors.
Transfer students are encouraged to complete as many major preparation courses listed under other major requirements prior to transfer as shown on the ASSIST website.
