UC Davis has a new podcast coming Sept. 17: Unfold, hosted by Amy Quinton and Alexa Renee. The podcast’s first season tackles the ways we can adapt to feeding a growing population.
Climate change threatens to make sustainably feeding two billion more people by 2050 a seemingly impossible task. We’ll need to grow more food, more efficiently and waste less. Season 1 of Unfold looks to UC Davis researchers working to make agriculture more sustainable for potential solutions to the challenges that lay ahead.
Unfold will examine new technologies and innovations to help feed more people while sustaining the planet. And for those who can’t stomach this feast of information on such a serious subject, Unfold will have a few more easily digestible and flavorful bites that pair well with wine and beer.
More information is available on the Unfold podcast website.

Keelan Doss making an impact in Raiders preseason
There's at least one wide receiver in Oakland Raiders camp who seems to have a helmet that fits just fine.
And after former UC Davis All-American Keelan Doss turned in another superlative performance in Oakland's 22-21 preseason victory over Green Bay last Thursday (Aug. 22), he is doing everything he can to keep that helmet.
Undrafted, but signed by his boyhood idols, Doss has 11 catches for 99 yards in three Raider victories. Both statistics lead a crowded house of Oakland wideouts. Meanwhile, the Aug. 31 cut-down from 90 players to the 53-man rosters fast approaches. The Silver and Black have 11 wide receivers in camp; the rumor is that only six will make the team.
Despite the pressure, Doss literally is keeping his eye on the ball.
