When Student Health and Counseling Services set out to promote the new crisis text line available to campus, they turned to their target audience: students.
The campus department commissioned a student filmmaker to create the above video, which is intended to raise the profile of the new, free resource.
"Our aim is to raise awareness, and what better way to get that from a student lens?" said Emilia Aguirre, a health promotion specialist in Student Health and Counseling Services.
Olivia Wong, a senior double-majoring in communication and cinema and digital media, wrote and directed the video.

Anna Shumaker: LA Qualifiers were LIT. So honored to be ranked with such a talented group of competitors! It’s been a wild ride and it’s not over yet!! LA City Finals here I come!
Anna Shumaker '14, a former UC Davis gymnast and personal trainer in West Sacramento, put her acrobatic skills to the test last week when she competed on NBC's American Ninja Warrior. Shumaker previously competed on Team Ninja Warrior, a similar show.
Shumaker didn't make it to the end of the obstacle course in her Los Angeles-based appearance last week, but she was still able to advance to the next round of competition.
She told the blog American Ninja Warrior Nation that it felt good to be advancing.
"Last year was my first year on Ninja Warrior, my rookie year, and I went out way earlier than I wanted to," she told the site. "I was pretty disappointed, so the feeling I have this year competing in the finals is so much better."
