Many students struggle with math, and a new curriculum developed at UC Davis aims to change that by making the subject fun.
The C-STEM Center, led by professor Harry Cheng, lets students learn by programming robots.
"It is a life changing experience for many of the students," Cheng said. "They don't feel like they're learning math. They're just having fun."

Thousands of balloons thrown in annual celebration
It took just 15 minutes for faculty, staff, students and visitors to toss 3,000 water balloons in an the 13th annual Bruce Hammock Lab Water Balloon Battle on Friday (July 22).
Hammock, a distinguished professor of entomology, created the event as a way to reward lab members for their hard work throughout the year. More photos are available on the Entomology & Nematology News blog.
