The February cohort of Crowdfund UC Davis hosted a record 39 diverse projects led by students, faculty and staff. It also attracted over 1,045 donors, raised more $109,346 combined, and hit some exciting new milestones:
- Highest number of fully funded projects ever: 16 projects hit or surpassed their fundraising goals.
- Twenty-one completed match donations: Matching gifts are a new feature for Crowdfund UC Davis that amplifies donor participation and impact.
- The debut of a social wall, featuring #CrowdfundUCDavis, brought the community closer and boosted engagement.
These accomplishments underscore our UC Davis and UC Davis Health communities’ dedication to supporting a wide range of initiatives across both campuses.
Projects that met their stretch goals:
- Help APRL Launch UC Davis' First Liquid Bi-Propellant Rocket! – raised $4,475
- UC Davis Alpine Ski and Snowboarding Club – raised $5,075
- Future STEM Educator Award – raised $5,100
- UC Davis Taekwondo Sports Club – raised $2,000

About Crowdfund UC Davis
Crowdfund UC Davis takes place in October and February each year and has raised more than $985,200 from over 7,800 donors since its debut in February 2020. Applications for the October cohort are open March 27-June 27 and are available on the Crowdfund UC Davis website.
The Annual and Special Gifts Program in Development and Alumni Relations works with Advancement Services to review applications for Crowdfund UC Davis. They provide teams with access to the Crowdfund UC Davis platform, training, weekly guidance sessions and some email support for the program. The project teams themselves fuel the marketing and networking that lead to their fundraising success.
