Your routine for coming to campus gets a little simpler today: Regular COVID-19 testing is no longer required, although it is still available on a voluntary basis. And while students are no longer required to complete the Daily Symptom Survey, campus employees must still submit one every time they come to a university facility.
APPOINTMENT ONLY
Testing at the new location will be available by appointment only, and walk-ins will not be accommodated. To make an appointment, use the same process as before: Log on to Health-e-Messaging and follow the prompts.
The changes went into effect today (June 24). What’s not changing is the requirement to notify the university if you test positive for COVID-19; those diagnosed with COVID-19 are also required to maintain isolation in accordance with public health guidelines.
More changes are coming next week: June 30 is the last day that COVID-19 testing will be located inside the Activities and Recreation Center, or ARC. On July 5, the university will open a new testing kiosk inside the Human Resources Administration Building, just a short walk across the street from the ARC on the newly renamed Blue Ridge Road. The new COVID-19 testing kiosk will only serve students and employees, and all other Healthy Davis Together testing sites will close June 30.
The kiosk in the Human Resources Administration Building will be open Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. by appointment only. Normal parking rates will apply, and free parking stalls designated for COVID-19 testing in Lot 25 will return to regular C zone rates.
UC Davis’ asymptomatic testing program will continue to be available through the end of 2022. Other local testing resources are listed on the Yolo County website.
