Wildfire Smoke Affecting Campus

Smoke affecting the UC Davis campus is from multiple fires burning in Northern California. Smoky conditions and poor air quality are likely to persist for some time.

More information is available online, from the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District. You can also follow the air quality district on Facebook and Twitter.

The district warns that air quality today (Oct. 11) is "unhealthy." Officials say:

  • If you see or smell smoke, we advise you to remove yourself from the area and minimize outdoor activities.
  • Children, the elderly and people with respiratory or heart conditions are the most at risk and should limit exposure.
