Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi leads the UC Davis delegation again to Sacramento for the biannual UC Day at the Capitol, next Tuesday (March 19).

Delegates from around the UC system will advocate for, among other things, approval of Gov. Jerry Brown’s proposed budget (which includes a 5 percent increase in UC funding); and a specific allocation, similar to the support provided to the California State University system and the community colleges, for the UC Retirement Plan should there be sufficient one-time dollars available.

The UC Davis delegation is scheduled to gather for an 8 a.m. briefing at the UC Center Sacramento, and participate in morning and afternoon rounds of legislative briefings. President Mark G. Yudof is due to address the entire UC delegation during lunch in a tent on the Capitol grounds.
