Brian Alexander has been named the new deputy director of Undergraduate Admissions, effective Oct. 1.
Alexander, who replaces the retiring Mary Dubitzky, has served the past six years in Undergraduate Admissions.
Frank Wada, executive director of Undergraduate Admissions and university registrar, said Alexander’s tenure as associate director for technology and computing position showed that he was “extremely successful in transforming unit work and increasing collaboration with other departments.”
Wada said that Alexander has a strong track record blending technical and functional understandings as well as a knack for leadership and collaboration.
Looking forward, he added, Alexander’s “innate ability to be goal and objective driven in a team environment will be a significant asset as deputy director.”
Alexander earned a bachelor’s in computer science from California State University, San Bernardino.
