CAP AND GOWN RENTAL
A cap and gown, also referred to as regalia or “academic dress”, is mandatory for graduates and the university reserves the right to refuse admission to students who do not comply with this requirement. Please visit the UC Davis Stores rental webpage for more details and to access the online ordering system. After April 19 at 8:59 PM, the rental cost will increase by $15. The rental webpage also provides information on other opportunities to purchase custom souvenirs and gifts.
Cap and Gown Award: The Student Foundation is partnering with the UCD Bookstore and Herff Jones to distribute a limited number of cap and gowns for commencement to students in need. If you or a student you know needs assistance with purchasing their cap and gown, please visit the Student Foundation webpage to apply for the UC Davis Cap & Gown Award. The application is available in the online Scholarship Manager until April 10.
APPLY TO BE A COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER
Are you interested in being one of the five student speakers at the commencement ceremonies this spring? Or do you know a graduate that you would like to nominate to be a speaker? The nomination and application forms are now available at sa.ucdavis.edu/speak. The nomination deadline is Friday, March 20, and the application deadline is Friday, April 3.
TICKET INFORMATION
During the registration process, you selected the number of tickets for your guests. Registered graduates participating in the ceremony do not need tickets to enter and will be checking in at a separate area.
Guest tickets will be issued to the registered graduate a few days prior to the ceremony date. Tickets are not required for children ages 2 and under. Please note that guest tickets are considered “general admission.” This means there are no assigned seats and seating is first come, first served.
Don’t sell your extra tickets: University policy prohibits the selling of commencement tickets for money or for any commercial value. Violation will result in referral to Student Conduct and Integrity.
CEREMONY LIVESTREAM
If guests are not able to attend in person or would prefer to watch at home, ceremonies will be shown live on the commencement homepage and on-demand on the UC Davis YouTube page.
