Feb. 8, Tuesday -- Five UC Davis professors will participate in a special forum on the uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt and other parts of the Middle East, starting at 7 p.m. in Room 1100 of the Social Sciences and Humanities Building.
The panel will include:
• Political science professor Zeev Maoz, who will analyze regional implications of the pending regime changes.
• Religious studies professor Keith David Watenpaugh, who will assess how the unrest may affect human rights across the region.
• Political science professor Scott Gartner, who will discuss the international implications.
• Professor David Biale, chairman of the history department, who will size up the stakes for Israel.
• Political science professor Miroslav Nincic, who will discuss what it all may mean for U.S. foreign policy.
