Sept. 17-20, Monday-Thursday -- Seeds and their importance as food products and vehicles for delivering genetic material for crop improvement will be the focus of the Plant Sciences Symposium at UC Davis. Following the theme of "Translational Seed Biology: From Model Systems to Crop Improvement," this international symposium is sponsored by UC Davis' Department of Plant Sciences. It will bring together scientists who are conducting fundamental as well as applied, crop-based research, in hopes of improving the transfer of research findings from the laboratory to the field.
