Two UC Davis experts are on the program for “Cooling the Earth One House at a Time,” a Davis community forum “on actions you can take at home.”
The forum, free and open to the public, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 7 in the City Council chamber, 23 Russell Blvd., at B Street.
Among the speakers are Jonathan Wooley of the UC Davis Western Cooling Efficiency Center, on the topic “Action Plan for Reducing Your Home’s Heating and Cooling Carbon Footprint”; and Ben Koyle, a research engineer from the university’s California Lighting Technology Center, on the topic “Exploring Emerging Technology and Options for Lighting.”
The other presenters and their topics: Steve Brennan, Davis Energy Group, “Improving Energy Efficiency and Home Energy Evaluations”; Liz Merry, Verve Solar Consulting, “Solar Toolkit”; Paul Novasio, city of Davis, “Emerging Funding Opportunities.”
The forum is one in a series sponsored by the City of Davis Climate Action team and the Valley Climate Action Center.
