1. Urgent Mental Health Support

- Crisis Counseling
Call 530-752-0871 anytime for same-day crisis counseling appointments with a UC Davis counselor or visit the Acute Care Clinic at the Student Health and Wellness Center during office hours.
- 24/7 Non-Emergency Mental Health Support
Call 530-754-3434 for a quick response from the Health 34 team, available 24/7 for on-campus basic mental health support and help finding the right resources.
- Support through Texting
Text "RELATE" to 741741 for free, 24/7 crisis counseling via text.

Request a welfare check for a student, staff or faculty member if you are concerned about their mental or physical wellbeing.
2. Mental Health Support
Where can I get help with anxiety, depression or other mental health challenges?
- Individual Counseling Services
Book individual counseling sessions with a UC Davis counselor to manage anxiety, depression, stress and other mental health challenges. Individual Counseling is confidential short-term therapy available to all registered UC Davis students at no charge.
- Group Counseling & Support Groups
Join groups that offer peer support and shared experiences for various mental health concerns, including those tailored to specific identities and communities.
- Embedded Counselors in Underrepresented Communities
Through informal consultations or therapy, “CAN” counselors provide culturally relevant support (click on each person’s photo to learn what communities they partner with)
- Aggie Mental Health Website & Resource Hub
The Aggie Mental Health website is a centralized hub for all mental health resources available to UC Davis students.

Where can I get support after losing a friend or loved one?
- Grieving the Loss of a Friend or Family Member
Resources and support for those dealing with the loss of a loved one.
- Grieving a Suicide or Sudden Death
Support services for individuals affected by a suicide or sudden death of a peer.
4. Addiction Recovery Resources
Where can I get help for an addiction or substance abuse problem?
- Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Intervention Services
If you or a friend has a problem with alcohol or other drugs, ATOD services can help. Getting help doesn’t mean you’re an addict and services are confidential, unlimited and free for UC Davis students.
- Alcohol, Drug and Overdose Information
Access information about hosting and attending parties safely, including resources on alcohol, drugs and overdose prevention.
- Peer Support Group for Students in Recovery
Connect with Aggies for Recovery, a peer support group that provides students who are struggling with addiction or dependency of any kind with a support system of like-minded individuals and a safe space to discuss personal issues.
