The C.N. Gorman Museum at UC Davis will feature a solo exhibition Jan. 7 through March 15 featuring works on paper by award-winning artist Rick Bartow. A Vietnam Veteran, life-long musician and songwriter, widower, and enrolled member of the Mad River Bank of Wiyot Indians, Bartow is considered one of the most important leaders in contemporary Native American Art. The collection of works was gifted to the C.N. Gorman Museum after the artist’s passing in 2016 by the Richard E. Bartow Estate and Froelick Gallery.
A guest lecture by Froelick about Bartow's work will take place Feb. 27 at 3:30 p.m.
The Gorman is located in Hart Hall on The UC Davis campus. It is open Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 2-5 p.m. Admission is always free.
